Contradicting what your history books tell you the first civilization on this planet came about millions of years ago even before the Dinosaur. Creatures of legend existed among what was the first society of man. Those who lived then called their realm Urthe and after many millennia would be changed to what we call it as of today; Earth.
Urthe came about as a desire for Christopher Moshier and Jerry Rascoe to work on a project together after several months of talking shop (or comics). The idea came fairly quickly. Christopher asked what Jerry wanted to draw and his response was simply a Minotaur. An hour later after a lunch break Christopher told Jerry a yarn of a soldier returning home from war to his beautiful wife. But all was not right upon his return. The wife has been possessed as a vessel for the return of the dark angle Lucifer. This sets the stage for our first story in this magical world introducing elves, dwarves, magicians, and yes; Minotaurs.
Christopher Moshier explains, “As Jerry and I are using material from the bible for our first story for the world of Urthe we will introduce other mythologies for example say Atlantis or even introduce an alien invasion. We very much want to set this world apart from other stories that may seem to fit it the fantasy/sword sorcery template.”
